Microdermabrasion Spa

Should you use a microdermabrasion spa, or is it better to go to a doctor to have it done?  That’s the question on the minds of a lot of women.  They’ve heard and read people raving about the results of microdermabrasion, and they’ve seen what it’s done for their friends, sisters, daughters, etc.  They start inquiring about treatments for themselves, and they see that both spas and doctor’s offices offer the service.  Many women are naturally drawn to the idea of going to the doctor’s office for microdermabrasion, but in most cases that’s probably not the best decision.

You may think that if you choose a microdermabrasion spa over a doctor, that you’ll be treated by a less qualified person.  In actuality, the situation is probably going to be the reverse of that.  Anyone with proper training can be certified to provide microdermabrasion.  There’s absolutely no reason a doctor or health professional has to do it. By the way – the odds of a doctor doing the treatment are slim.  It’s almost always an LPN, nurse’s aide, or office assistant who does it.  In other words, it’s not likely to be their full time job, but just one of many tasks they perform in the medical facility.

Compare that to the professionals who work in a microdermabrasion spa.  Skin care is all they do in many cases.  All day long they’re restoring the radiance and vitality of women’s complexions.  Not only do they have much more experience at it in many cases, but they have to do a good job to keep women coming back.  It’s their bread and butter, unlike at the doctor’s office.  And if you’re worried about risk, consider this.  Microdermabrasion is a very low risk and pain free procedure, and injuries or side effects are extremely rare.  Most women will be better off going to a spa for microdermabrasion than to a doctor’s office.
